The Alliance to Restore the Republic held guiding principles by their settlement of Hoth in 3 ABY.[1] According to scholar Korin Aphra, four such concepts echoed those of Jedi texts. Certain Alliance Military members, however, namely Captain Magna Tolvan, had no interest in the principles.[2]

The Alliance guiding principles were mentioned in the 2019 Star Wars comic Empire Ascendant 1's story "Epilogue."

This film includes the Battle of Hoth, in which the Rebellion abandoned Echo Base. As the base appears in the comic "Epilogue" which featured the Alliance guiding principles, the story's events must also have occured in 3 ABY.
