The Alliance Heroism Medal was a Rebel Alliance medal awarded to individuals who conducted perilous operations for the Rebellion with success and displayed exceptional bravery.[1]
In 1 ABY,[2] one such medal was awarded to a spacer alongside several Rebel supporters who destroyed a Rebel Corellian corvette captured by the Empire before it could be used against civilians.[3]
The Galactic Empire had a similar award named Imperial Heroism Medal.[4]

Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
