Aleemas were a brand of laced running shoes[1] named after the famous shockball player Ytavarg Aleema.[2] Shockboxer Lobar Aybock used Aleemas in his traditional run prior to shockboxing matches[1] around 6 ABY.[3]
Behind the scenes
Aleemas first appeared in Fists of Ion, a 2008 article written for Hyperspace by Edward M. Erdelac.[1] Erdelac's blog on StarWars.com confirmed that Aleemas were named after Ytavarg Aleema.[2]
