Plot summary
The rebel cell known as the Spectres is hoping to deliver supplies to the displaced farmers of Lothal re-settlement camp 43, also known as Tarkintown, lest the refugees there face starvation. Standing in their way, however, is the need for the correct Imperial codes, without which they will be shot down if they try to approach and land on Lothal. Determined to help, Ezra Bridger volunteers to retrieve the codes, which are stored aboard an Imperial Star Destroyer.
The Ghost approaches an Imperial Star Destroyer undetected and infiltrates its hangar. Kanan Jarrus tells Chopper to upload a virus the droid has programmed into the vessel’s systems in order to cause confusion as Ezra retrieves the codes. With the virus uploaded, the Imperial crew is thrown into disarray. Stabilizers fail across the ship, and waste is pumped into the halls of the Star Destroyer, leaving several stormtroopers to become sick.
Taking advantage of the confusion, Ezra and Chopper make their way to the central computer room. They evade stormstroopers and make their way through doors that the virus unlocked, and finally locate the Imperial codes stored on data bricks. Ezra grabs one and leaves a dummy brick behind in its place when, suddenly, the doors close and alarms go off after Chopper forgot to jam the security systems.
Ezra tries to find his way into an airshaft, but the two are discovered by a stormtrooper who demands to know what they are up to. Chopper zaps the trooper and the two escape into the hall, where Ezra uses his energy slingshot to take out another stormtrooper. As they run through the halls back toward the hangar, they are confronted by the Grand Inquisitor, who steals one of the data bricks.
Just in the nick of time, Chopper disables the ship’s artificial gravity generator, sending himself, Ezra, and the Grand Inquisitor into the air. This gives Ezra and Chopper the chance to escape using Chopper’s rocket booster, while the Grand Inquisitor is left believing he retrieved the codes. After Ezra and Chopper make their way back to the Ghost and the ship escapes, Ezra reveals that he always carries two dummies with him and that he has the real codes. Kanan hopes that the Grand Inquisitor does not notice.
