Alantium was a carbonate ore[3] that was an important component in starship hull design. It was found on the planets Alabash[1] and Alluuvia.[2] During the Galactic Civil War the Galactic Empire set up a mining operation on Alabash that resulted in 600 metric tons a month being mined from the surface.[1]
