The Aegis Company was an elite Galactic Republic military unit during the Galactic War. Known for holding back opposing forces ten times their size with minimal casualties, the Aegis Company had not lost a single defensive objective by 3642 BBY, when they were assigned to the planet Hoth and tasked with defending a major Republic communications array. An Imperial strike force assembled by Corporal Xeleste assaulted their position with an order to destroy the array at all costs.[1]
