The ABR-2 Zato blaster rifle was a model of blaster rifle built by the Ashiga Clan at their weapons factory on the Mid Rim planet of Kijimi.[1]

In 3 ABY,[2] members of the clan carried the rifles while patrolling the planet. Queen Ashiga shifted the weapons factory from creating their blaster rifles to creating explosives for the Galactic Empire to use against the Alliance to Restore the Republic. This change caused strife within the clan which ultimately resulted in a coup attempt by the Queen's daughter, Krisk Ashiga. As part of the coup, Krisk hired Kay Vess for several jobs to assist the coup, during which Vess faced a number of members of the clan who were using the ABR-2 Zato blaster rifle.[1]

Behind the scenes

ABR-2 Zato blaster rifle first appeared in the 2024 video game, Star Wars Outlaws developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft.[1]
