- "Access to A2 is limited to authorized personnel."
- ―A public address announcer
A2 was a location within the Eadu Energy Conversion Laboratory on Eadu. During the mission to Eadu, a public address announcer said that only authorized personnel could access A2.[1]
Behind the scenes
- "One of the odd jobs I had on this movie was writing the PA chatter. In this shot, there's a voice mentioning that access to A2 is limited to authorized personal [sic]. At the time, A2 was the floor at Lucasfilm where animation and story development sat."
- ―Pablo Hidalgo
A2 was first mentioned in the 2016 film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.[1] It was written as background chatter by Lucasfilm Story Group member Pablo Hidalgo, as a reference to the floor at Lucasfilm for animation and story development.[2] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, A2 was an Imperial droid that appeared in the novel X-Wing: Wraith Squadron.[3]
