The 55th Mechanized Brigade was a mechanized infantry brigade[1] of 9,216 clone troopers, with added support personnel, that served in one of the Grand Army of the Republic's corps[3] during the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems.[1] Led by a senior clone commander,[2] one of the 55th's clone trooper lieutenants served as camp commander of the Republic Detention Center in Pols Anaxes,[1] the capital city of the Core Worlds planet Anaxes,[4] after getting an injury that made him walk stiffly.[1]
Around 19 BBY, the 55th Mechanized Brigade's lieutenant greeted the Mandalorian Force-sensitive Bardan Jusik, posing as a prisoner, and three ex-Republic clone troopers disguised as ordinary clones; Fi, Spar, and Sull, who sought to free the imprisoned Ruusaan Skirata for her father, the Mandalorian mercenary Kal Skirata. Approving of their falsified request to free the prisoner, the 55th's lieutenant sent the four men to the Hut Eight Bravo detention wing, where Ruusaan was being kept.[1]
