- "Hey! You're that caretaker droid. I wondered what happened to you."
"Oh, young one. I mean, soon to be Jedi Knight. I had to get away from that terrible..."
"Okay, everything's loaded. Let's get out of here."
"Why, you tin-plated traitor!"
"Blast her!" - ―4-A7, Ahsoka Tano, and one of the platoon's battle droids.
A platoon of battle droids was assigned to escort the RA-7 protocol droid 4-A7, who served as a spy droid for Count Dooku and[2] Commander[4] Asajj Ventress.[2] 4-A7 held commanding authority over the droids[1] within the platoon, which included at least three B1-series battle droids.[2]

Because the issue also says 4-A7 had a full body of 3PO plating, he must have been created early in the war. Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates the start of the Clone Wars to the year 22 BBY. The Star Wars: The Clone Wars film shows that 4-A7's death was part of the Battle of Teth. Star Wars: Galactic Atlas places the Battle of Christophsis and the mission to Rodia to 22 BBY. Since the Battle of Teth takes place between the Battle of Christophsis and the mission to Rodia, the events of the battle, including 4-A7's death, must have also taken place in the same year. Given that 4-A7 was created after the start of the war and died in 22 BBY, he must have been created in that year as well. As such, the platoon "Assassin, Security, and Other Droids of War" establishes was formed to escort him could only have been established in this year.
