252 was one of over 50 stasis probes that were launched by the New Republic's Alpha Blue intelligence agency to observe the N'zoth system during the Black Fleet Crisis. 252 was one of only three probes that were able to survive the mission and warn New Republic forces of the incoming Yevethan Black Fleet.^[1]
