As a Battlemaster, he held his own against the Sith Lord Darth Caedus, who relied on his Force powers to defeat the legendary Jedi.

It was said that prior to the Clone Wars, Swan went on dozens of missions and never took a single life and she was one of a handful of Force users to master the Teras Kasi martial art.
