Honestly, Legends just really gets too hectic and has too many things going on. I believe that some aspects of canon make it better. The addition of the inhibitor chips really sold it for me because it adds more weight to order 66 knowing the clones didn’t want to and couldn’t control it.

Well, what if they lived, he kept his praetorian guardsmen, his imperial super commandos whatever you wanna call them, and started an Imperial civil war? Some people wanting to stick with Thrawn when he returns and some wanting to side with Gideon? Then Heir to the Empire could be about a three-way war between everyone?
