ROS ended the Skywalker Saga on a sour note for most fans, and most have pointed out that the sequels left the galaxy in a balkanized state. I heard one of the visions (IE the Star Wars Anime) is set after that timespan, but that's not canon. Frankly, I'd love to see either of these settings:

1: Hundreds of years after the First Order ended, the Jedi have recovered and haven't been stuffed in the fridge like they were in TFA. The Galaxy is similar to the High Republic era (Kotor 1 and 2) and plots would resolve around protecting the Order from going kersplat for the 3rd time, or things like the Kotor comics.

2: Several decades after the war, the galaxy is practically Fallout on a galactic scale. Plots would be much smaller in scale, resolving around character trying to survive the stellar apocalypse or advancing their own factions. A Jedi character would be more akin to Conan the Barbarian than a DND Paladin.

So... yeah, that's my thoughts. What would you like to see? Let me know in the replies.

We often hear that the Battle Of Hoth was a disastrous defeat for The Alliance, and a massive win for The Empire with the destruction of Echo Base. But I think it was a rebel victory.

You see, what I think a lot of people get confused with the battle is that they forget the rebels were trying to hold off the empire long enough for much of their equipment and personnel (particularly Leila, Luke, and Han) to get the hell off that frozen hellhole. The Rebels were not trying to destroy the attackers.

So what do you think? Did the Empire with that battle, or was it just propaganda?
