In my mind, Sol did nothing wrong. The Jedi approached the witches peacefully at first and Mother Aniseya’s first action was to traumatize Torbin by basically breaking into his mind and taking him over against his will. So when she did the shadowy stuff with Mae, of course Sol was right to be on guard. If the witches were willing to basically give a young boy trauma for life after just meeting him, then Sol would be absolutely terrified of them and for good reason.
This in my opinion was a series of wasted potential and characters. There were many interesting concepts and characters that were wasted and many interesting characters I would have liked to see more of were killed off. Osha and Mae felt like they acted however the plot needed them to. I am intrigued by the Qimir and Vern backstory, and Vern blaming Sol for the Jedi murders, while tragic, makes sense as a political move. I’m glad she gave Sol a proper Jedi funeral. And I still don’t find what Sol did to be all that bad, to be frank. I wish we had seen more of other characters, like Jecki and Yord, and I just feel like overall this series is a C+ for me. It isn’t deserving of all the hate it gets, but the writing and handling of characters was sometimes lackluster, and overall there were things that could have been improved upon.
Maybe because the show wasn’t about Rex? It’s called the Bad Batch, not “The Bad Batch and all their friends who HAVE to be there otherwise I’m gonna be mad 😠”
Ezra sacrificed a full decade of his life to defeat Thrawn, and even then Thrawn still returned. Let my man finish the job.
^ I am.
The fact that Sol can’t sense the difference between Osha and Mae even when the Jedi a hundred years from now can sense the difference between millions and millions of identical clone men through their presence in the Force is… a choice.
Could be a grown up Jacen Syndulla
Well given he was already a Master when he met Osha and Mae, it’s likely he had another Padawan before her.
Gonna vote yes cause Barriss bombing the Temple was already OOC in the first place…
So… what you guys are saying is the Jedi shouldn’t have put in the work of joining forces with the government so they could both aid in protecting the wider galaxy?
It was Sidious who caused the politics to sink, not the Jedi. It isn’t their fault for joining the Republic. They had already been involved with them for Centuries. They only really starting having problems with them when Sidious appeared. Stop blaming the Jedi for the Sith Lord’s actions.
Yes I know. My apologies. That was an overreaction on my part. I recently got into an argument with a group of people on another platform stating that they would love to be Sith, so that was still fresh on my mind. Sorry about that, that’s on me.
“Tell him I love him more than anything he could ever do wrong.”
The Sith are pure evil. Why is this so hard to understand? The Sith try to justify their lust for power and domination by acting as if the Jedi are oppressing them when they are the ones who seek to destroy life and will stop at nothing to do it. They are essentially a bunch of space Hitlers. The argument in their defense sounds like as if someone points out all the atrocities Hitler did, and someone else just went:
“Oh he’s just a misunderstood little guy. Ignore all the crimes he did, he probably had a rough childhood! The Allies are the villains for trying to stop him!”
Bruh.
Ah yes, the classic Star Wars art of shipping siblings together also known as incest.
…I’m sorry, did you just ask if we could have a scene of literal children getting cut up? I’m not the only one weirded out by this, right?
How was he admitted? Well considering the fact he was like five I’d like to think he wasn’t preaching that too much back then, if he did at all.
One criticism I do have is I think Indara and Torbin died too easily.
^The difference is we as an audience never saw that character get tossed down a reactor shaft
A solid start to a show so far. I’m excited to see where it goes! Sol and Yord are instant favorites, and Osha and Mae, like said above, are kinda so-so, I still like them! I’m excited to see what this series has to offer, and I’m glad that as of thus far, it has proven all of the haters and attention seeking critics wrong.
