Kanan's death was a sacrifice, Maul's was a poetic end to s decades old rivalry, Anakin's, too, was a sacrifice, but meaningful.

Padme's, however... in her final moments, she was abused by her partner, physically with a force choke, Anakin attempted to manipulate her into joining his empire and betraying her morals, and literally died of heartbreak. 💔

I mean, I know they weren't the banking clan or rich Neimoidans, but I swear I remember the Chiss having a moderate level of wealth. 🤔😅

@AdmiralZod1 I, too, thoroughly enjoyed reading your reasonings! Touching on more of the contemporary reasons delving into the clone wars, growing blatant or willful ignorance displayed pre-clone wars or during. I noticed your explanation wasn't self-righteous, believing yourself to be a martyr that could effect major change like preventing Order 66 or Anakin's fall. You seemed to have a grounded idea as to who you are, what you were thinking about while writing it, and who you wanted to serve a a guardian of peace—the people, general good that would make the lives of a few better. This doesn't have to be accomplished by aligning with an outwardly "good" or morally "correct" faction, such as the Jedi.

Maybe I strayed a little far half-way through that. Just feelings got reading and processing what you said. 😅

I've often written OCs with a yellow or orange lightsaber in mind, or purple if I want a little color. However, I'll be touching on my choice of yellow. I have always seen sources and lore explanations depict this color to be more of a independent color amidst the consular green and knight blue. Jedi Sentinels direct their focus on both lightsaber combat and defense against the dark as a knight would; and the study of the force, it's abilities, and upholding the peace as a consular would.

I myself am always questioning authority, rules, and like to understand why we do things we do. Am I an anarchist? Rebel? Or just a very independent thinking person? Maybe elements of all, but I can't see myself either choosing blue or green, or if we are following the current Canon; completing my trials on Ilum and getting anything other than yellow or orange.

I do also believe there is a difference between purple and yellow and the minds of those who own them. Purple is a color that often is used by characters that rely on or siphon power from the dark and light. Mace Windu is arguably the most famous practitioner, and as he used Form VII "Vapaad" its clear why he has a purple color. Or Revan, who's walked as both a Jedi, Sith, then the between. His reasons and story differ to Windu, but the explanation remains.

Yellow, and you could argue orange, could represent one who pulls from the ideological opposites rather than the power opposites. Making decisions the practioner deems worthy and acting on either pragmatic or independent thinking.

My choice is yellow/orange... most likely orange.

@Wolfscar45 I honestly think that that deep royal blue on the Canon logo would look amazing. 👌

I don't usually perfer Canon material to the former EU material, but something about the almost shining or outwardly glowing Canon icon is a nice touch. As if the thunderous applause and storm ushering in the Empire is fading and a new day is being greeted.

I'm allowed to have a preference. I'm not saying the original is a bad design. It makes sense with the felucian climate. All I'm saying, preference wise, that I like the edit/custom design better.

I understand that certain colors work better, but that doesn't mean you can't have a preference. 🫤🤷🏼‍♂️ They are rare, but I've seen some edits where the color palets are switched and look pretty good.

I feel like the benefits of Hondo far outweigh the benefits of Palpy. Imagine if you coordinate a deal with him to watch your house. 12:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. type shit, and you show up late, a blast of force lightning. 😂

@Lmcarth Komari Vosa was the jedi apprentice of Count Dooku. TLDR; She was a promising jedi who began leaning into her dark tendencies. Council noticed, kicked her out, she became a dark sider and either formed a cult of surrounded herself with a preexisting cult. (I don't remember fully.)
