Rats. I should’ve scrolled down a bit haha.
^ It is exactly how our real world operates and, you’re right, it’s neither good or bad but just how things are.
This is a false Dichotomy. The Galaxy could have stable regimes that are neither fascist or totalitarian. Now, we can talk about whether it would be better to have the majority of the Galaxy confederated into one government that has a near monopoly on power in terms of Galactic affairs or an anarchic (in terms of International Relations) Galactic System wherein the Galaxy is divided up into various independent and sovereign political entities.
What are the rules in terms of “Dual Posting” that being myself, or others, posting content on the Fandom’s Forums while, simultaneously posting on other platforms? Would it be acceptable so long as the other platform isn’t advertised in any manner? I ask because I’m entertaining the idea of making analysis/ review content and posting it here as well as on another site.
In the current continuity it’s only “Canon” because it’s served at Galaxy Edge. Needless to say, that’s pretty dubious because that’ll make Coca-cola Canon in the new continuity too lol.
It’s canon to the old EU continuity. It’s in Heir to the Empire.
I would have to agree with wolf, for the most part. At times when it is explicitly utilized it takes wildly different forms as well. Sometimes you’d have the “White Man’s Burden” form of Humanocentrism where you’d have Imperials like Soontir Fel that think its Humanity’s obligation to help alien species, through controlling and conditioning them and then you have more genocidal forms of Humanocentrism wherein some Imperial officers seem to want to the Galaxy a strictly Human one. This also makes it nebulous, I mean, Human High Culture and Humanocentrism certainly are a thing and it, reasonably, could be argued to be held even to some degree some of the Saga’s Heroes but it takes many forms and it’s to varying degrees. Some adherents to Human High Culture view near humans as equal, others not so much, and others still all the more insidious. Frankly, I think it’s to the detriment of both continuities of the setting for not fleshing the concept out.
Same story, different tune. I haven’t been too interested in new Star Wars content as well, though the big reason for why I have kept away was because I had become preoccupied with course work. I’m happy to say though that by next month I will finally have graduated. At any rate, what’s your book about? Is it fiction or nonfiction?
I must say, honestly, I miss the old days on the wook. You’re one of the old guys I’ve seen in a long time. I don’t know, I guess I’m just rambling. Just seems different.
Look, logically it should be the Mon Calamari but the Quarren just look cooler to me.
^Id have to respectfully disagree. For one their policies are not all that radically different, it’s just that at one point in its history the Empire simply had a bad leader, Palpatine, and then after his death following a series of Trials and Tribulations the Regime began to be ruled by adherents of New Order Ideology that were far more practical then Palpatine.
Depends on the continuity, in the setting’s current iteration it was 24 years. In the original continuity, the Empire persisted well over 200 years after the Battle of Endor in the form of the Fel Empire.
You know, I don’t want to sound like a jerk, but you know just because two people are both villains doesn’t mean that they’d get along, right?
I do not think so. For one Tarkin has a nasty prejudice against force users and on top of that the two men are politically at odds with one another.
Merry Christmas!
BRR and ARR. Before Russan Reformation and After Russan Reformation. It is the in world dating system of the setting.
I’ll ask the question, which one worked? The answer points to Legends,
Personally I would have to go with Legends. Simply put, I feel as though her character was far more fleshed out in that continuity than she was in Canon. I also happen to have liked her characterization better in the old EU Continuity. I would say, however, that her being a Traitor in TCW, while an interesting concept, could’ve been handled a whole lot better.
