First of all a little bit of context, both from my side and in general:
So I have wathed the trailer and the YouTube critic reviews that have subsequently spawned as a result, also I have read a buch of comments on Reddit and other forums. I'm not familiar at all with the High Republic and I haven't read/watched any content related to that and I don't follow the news regarding this topic so I have no opinion on the quality of the content. For all I know it is supposedly a 'controversial' and 'heavily debated on' but I have no idea really.
For what I see and read on the internet the teaser itsefl got ratio'ed to hell on YouTube, people calling it 'woke bullsh*t', playing a drinking game of 'take a shot of vodka every time you spot the white dude' (apparently you will be sharply sober by the end [if you don't get the joke]) calling out that the Harvey Weinstein's former self absorbed asisitant don't know jack sh*t about StarWars or film making in general, the concept of good vs evil is subverted and deconstructed into the mere struggle for power, that it is checking all the boxes of 'diversity and inclusivness' for the Disney's quarterly sales report, is basically dripping with 'the message', the list goes on.
So my question is: Does the Acolyte is really going to turn out this bad as it is shown on the trailer and by what people say or fans just don't like the High Republic?
