Was Force Healing not taught to all of the Jedi? The Jedi operated as a special law enforcement agency of the Galactic Republic, as Diplomats of the Galactic Senate, and when needed as defenders of the Republic. You would imagine that these warrior monks who are trained from a very young age in the ways of the Force and Lightsaber Combat would of been taught Force Healing in order to heal the people they protect and fellow Jedi.
Force Healing allows the user to heal a living being of injuries, mental illnesses, poison, and to heal cracked and bled Kyber crystals by transferring life energy from one being to another. The Jedi Order even had the position of Jedi Healer among it's numbers and had a whole section of their order, the Medical Corps led by the Circle of Jedi Healers, dedicated to the ability. During the High Republic Era a Circle of Jedi Healers member, Jedi Master Torban Buck, taught Jedi Padawans onboard the Padawan Academic Cruiser Star Hopper in first aid. So medical training is apart of a Jedi's training, and Jedi have been shown throughout the franchise knowing various levels of medical knowledge. So why is Force Healing not?
It is extremely odd to me that during the Clone Wars those Jedi operating as Jedi High Generals, Jedi Generals, and Jedi Commanders are not all trained in the use of Force Healing. They could of saved the lives of many Clone Troopers who died from injures on the battlefield and the lives of other Jedi. During the Clone Wars we know that Jedi Commander Barriss Offee and Jedi General Stass Allie were known practitioners of Force Healing and that Stass Allie was a member of the Circle of Jedi Healers and the Overseer of the Medical Corps. You would imagine that during her time on the Jedi High Council that she would of advocated for the training of the Jedi Order in Force Healing.
The Jedi suffered heavy causalities during the Clone Wars, especially during the First Battle of Geonosis where Jedi Councilor Sar Labooda, Jedi Councilor Coleman Trebor, Jedi Padawan Tan Yuster, and 184 other Jedi of the 215 Jedi present for the battle were killed. Force Healing would of been highly valuable to the Jedi in order to maintain their limited numbers and the limited number of Clone Troopers while being massively outnumbered by the Confederacy of Independent Systems in a galactic war.
I would of imagined that the whole Medical Corps would of been mobilized for the Clone Wars. Jedi Healers operating on Pelta-class Medical Frigates and Haven-class Medical Stations, or used during relief missions like the Mission to Aleen to heal those injured by natural disasters.
The Nightsisters also used a form of Force Healing through their Force Magick, it involved rituals but accomplished the same things.
Here are times when Force Healing was used:
Anakin Skywalker used the Daughters life energy to revive Ashoka Tano from the dead.
Talzin used Force Healing to heal the Dark Jedi Asajj Ventress.
Talzin used Force Healing to heal Dark Side Adept Maul's damaged mind and restore his memories.
Ashoka Tano used Force Healing to heal the bled Kyber crystals of the Sixth Brother's Lightsaber to make her own pair of white bladed lightsabers.
Grogu used Force Healing to heal Greed Karga of poison.
Rey Skywalker used Force Healing to heal a wounded Vexis.
Rey Skywalker used Force Healing to save Supreme Leader Kylo Ren after she stabbed him in the chest with his lightsaber.
Rey Skywalker used Force Healing heal the cracked Kyber crystal of Anakin Skywalker's lightsaber.
Ben Solo used his and Leia Organa's remaining life energy to revive Rey Skywalker from the dead.
Besides Anakin Skywalker and Talzin, most of these force users had very little training and I have found nothing that says Force Healing is a rare ability like psychometry, so how come those barely trained in the Force are able to use this ability but the Chosen One, Anakin Skywalker, had to have assistance from a Force Wielder the only time he used it. It appears to be a very simple Force power that does not require a lot of training.
Grand Master of the Jedi High Council Yoda was known to be able to heal everyone in his vicinity with the wave of his hand. Besides Stass Allie he is the only Jedi Councilor that I know who could use the ability. Obi-Wan Kenobi only learned the ability near the end of his live. You would of imagined that all the members of the Jedi High Council would of been able to use this ability, or that Anakin Skywalker who is extremely powerful in the force would be able to use it.
Here are examples of where Force Healing would of been really helpful:
Obi-Wan Kenobi could of used Force Healing to save Qui-Gon Jinn's life after he was stabbed by Darth Maul. Why would he not use it to save his Master's life?
Obi-Wan Kenobi or Anakin Skywalker could of used Force Healing to heal the Bounty Hunter Zam Wesell. Zam Wesell had valuable information about the plot to assassinate Galactic Senator of Naboo, Padmé Amidala Naberrie.
Anakin Skywalker could of used Force Healing to save his mother Shmi Skywalker. I mean it is his mother and he wanted to save her from dying.
Aayla Secura or Ashoka Tano could of used Force Healing on Anakin Skywalker after he is injured from an explosion and they become stranded on a planet. Instead they leave him under two pieces of metal with Clone Captain CT-7567 "Rex" guarding him.
Obi-Wan Kenobi or Anakin Skywalker could of used Force Healing to save Supreme Chairman of the Pantoran Assembly and the Exalted Ruler of Pantora, Chi Cho, after he was wounded by the Talz on Orto Plutonia. The Grand Army of the Republic forces were assigned to protect the Pantoran dignitaries while they conducted their investigation on the missing garrison, so why did they not heal him?
Barriss Offee could of used Force Healing to save Clone Lieutenant "Trap" after she stabbed him with her lightsaber.
Obi-Wan Kenobi could of used Force Healing to save the Death Watch bomber on Mandalore. He could of provided valuable information to the Mandalorian Guard about Death Watch.
Obi-Wan Kenobi or Anakin Skywalker could of used Force Healing on the Galactic Senator of Kalevala, Prince Tal Merrik after he was stabbed by Anakin Skywalker. He could of been turned over to the Republic Intelligence and provided information on Death Watch and Confederacy of Independent Systems activities.
Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Yoda, or Aayla Secura could of used Force Healing to save the Zillo Beast from the poison. It is assumed to be the last of it's species and the Jedi Order wanted to save it.
Ashoka Tano could of used Force Healing to save Even Piell on Lola Sayu after he was attacked by anoobas. She was on a mission to rescue him due to the hyperlane he had memorized.
Ashoka Tano could of used Force Healing to save Kalifa after she is wounded by the Trandoshan, Dar on the moon of Wasskah.
Anakin Skywalker could of used Force Healing to heal Boss Lyonie instead having Galactic Junior Representative of Naboo, Jar Jar Binks pose as him.
Anakin Skywalker could of used Force Healing to save the Queen of Zygerria, Miraj Scintel after she was force choked by the Count Dooku.
Obi-Wan Kenobi could of used Force Healing to save the Duchess of Kalevala, Satine Kryze after she is stabbed by Maul. Obi-Wan Kenobi loved Satine Kryze and was holding her in his arms. He could of healed her and used the force to knock her unconscious so that nobody of the Shadow Collective would of known that she was alive.
Ashoka Tano could of used Force Healing to save Letta Turmond after she was force choked by Barriss Offee. This would of prevented Ashoka Tano from being accused of murder and the Bombing of the Jedi Temple.
Anakin Skywalker could of used Force Healing to heal the bled Kyber crystals of Asajj Ventress' Lightsabers and give them back to her instead of the Jedi Order keeping them. She helped him prove Ashoka Tano's innocence.
Anakin Skywalker could of used Force Healing to save ARC-27-5555 "Fives" after he is shot by Clone Commander CC-1010 "Fox". Fives was trying to deliver important information to Anakin Skywalker about Order 66.
Obi-Wan Kenobi or Anakin Skywalker could of used Force Healing to save the personal aide to former Supreme Chancellor Finis Valorum, Silman, after he is force choked by Count Dooku. He had important information about their investigation and was the whole reason they were there.
Ashoka Tano could of used force heal to save Clone Captain CT-0292 "Vaughn" after he was wounded by Mandalorian super commandos on Mandalore.
Anakin Skywalker could of keep Count Dooku's Lightsaber and used Force Healing to heal the bled Kyber crystal after he murdered Dooku.
Obi-Wan Kenobi or Yoda could of used Force Healing to prevent Padmé Amidala Naberrie from dying of childbirth and a broken heart.
Ezra Bridger couldn't of used Force Healing to heal Kanan Jarrus' damaged eyes and restore his eyesight.
Obi-Wan Kenobi could of used Force healing on the Maul after their duel on Tatooine. Maul wanted the same thing Obi-Wan Kenobi wanted, for the Chosen One, Luke Skywalker, to defeat Darth Sidious, and could of helped. He seemed to have lost all anger towards Obi-Wan Kenobi after he lost the duel and Obi-Wan Kenobi gave him a proper funeral.
Luke Skywalker could of used Force Healing on Darth Vader after he was wounded by force lightning. Darth Vader is his father and sacrificed himself to save his son.
Force Healing is said to be aligned with the Light Side of the Force, but I think that it is not aligned with either side of the Force. Darth Plagueis had what I believe is the ultimate form of Force Healing that allowed himself to heal his body and others from aging and could influence Midi-chlorians to create life. Darth Sidious had a powerful form of Force Healing known as Force Drain that allowed him to take the life energy of others to heal himself. It would also explain how Darth Vader is able to keep himself alive when his suit's life support systems are damaged and how other Dark Side users survive fatal wounds.
Here is a list of times I assume that a form of Force Healing was used:
Darth Maul used Force Healing to reshape his upper half to survive by draining the life energy from his severed lower half.
Talzin attempted to use a form of Force Healing to restore her body by using the Living Force inside the Living Sphere.
Jedi Youngling Reva used Force Healing to heal herself after being stabbed by Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Vader. She possibly drained the remaining life energy from the dead/dying Jedi and Clone Troopers around her.
The Grand Inquisitor used Force Healing on himself after being stabbed by the Third Sister.
Former Grand Inquisitor Reva used Force Healing to heal herself after being stabbed by Darth Vader. She possible drained the the remaining life energy from the dead/dying refugees and smugglers around her.
The existence and supposed simplicity of Force Healing makes the death of various characters seem unnecessary. There is no reason this ability shouldn't be a common practice by the Jedi Order. It seems to only be used to further certain plot points.
