The classic cartoon already looks like a Funko pop
Just gonna remind everyone that Han Solo, one of the most famous characters in the galaxy, got his last name at customs, because he was alone.
Changing your last name isn't a big deal, and given that it was due to her found family, I'd say it was earned.
Used to be the only option, so I definitely have.
I also passed my VHS collection to my daughter for a while, so she (born 2012) has also had the experience of VHS watching lol
Least Favourite numbered entry: Attack of the Clones had some interesting choreography
Leaat favourite live action: Solo had some nice visuals.
Least favourite at all: The Clone Wars movie is pretty good when viewed in its place in the show, as an extended episode.
I'm going to answer this rather differently to others here, I think.
I actually answered basically this exact question a while back on Quora, so I'll link that below.
My basic answer is that if you know the basic twists for pop culture, or if you want to watch anything else alongside the original and prequel trilogies, then watch it chronologically. There's no point in making a convoluted and ultimately pointless running order that bounces around the timeline, when you can just follow the expressly laid-out timeline.
I'd definitely do the numbered entries as a first run-through, and then go back and do everything else afterwards though. The Clone Wars and Rebels have an absolute TON of hints and outright spoilers of future events that can really kill future surprises.
That's my opinion anyway.
Ray Stevenson passed away after being hospitalised during filming of another role. No cause of death has been publicly stated.
Also the whole POINT of Baylans story so far has been the mystery of what his goal is, so the writing necessitates mystery. If they gave us a whole load of explanation it'd be boring. Writing 101.
The thing that sucks to think about is that this series is our ONLY chance to enjoy Baylan. Unless they choose to recast, which is possible, they've only got whatever was filmed for this single season as the entire Baylan narrative. That's tragic as hell given what a spectacular performance Stevenson has given us here.
The fact that Ahsoka unintentionally caused Sabine's family and planet to be wiped out felt like a pretty good reason to have a mood on
Meh. I predicted that after the last episode this one would need to slow down. Said as much in the last thread.
You need to consider the series like you would a film. We had the build up in the first episodes, then the midsection climax in the World Between Worlds. Now we're building again. They have a lot of story, characters, and set-up to get out of the way before the finale, and that will inevitably slow down some episodes. As long as it's interesting and entertaining, I see no problem with it.
Didn't spot that one. Sorry. The World Between Worlds theory is also interesting
Before I suggest this, I just want to remind everyone that theories are fun, but if they're wrong, it's our fault not the writers. Anyways..
Baylon wants power that won't be fleeting. He thinks the Nightsisters are scared of something even more evil. He wants to use that to create a new level of power and "break the cycle" of good and evil bouncing off of each other.
Considering that we know the shows are building towards a massive crossover, which needs something truly massive to bring everyone together..
Could we possibly be getting Abeloth?
Assuming you take on a single mission at a time, all you need is room for a body. Both ships were fine for this. His appearance and equipment is based on the "lone gunslinger" archetype so it's based on actual bounty hunters and just "Star Wars-ified". There's nothing in the text or the execution that suggests it doesn't work for him, just as it worked for those gunslingers propping their bounty on the back of the horse and heading off to collect.
Ahsoka is a MASSIVE brat in her introduction. She's also still largely the older Ahsoka just reliving the past, so her personality was meant to be a mixture of the original events and the older Ahsoka looking back at her feelings of failure
I'd guess he's referring to this
Knew it was something like that. Nearly midnight here and it's been a long day lol
That's a very good comparison. I agree that AotC makes more sense. We'll see how far they take it.
I should also say, I don't consider it a negative IF I'm right and Thrawn isn't in this much. Building up the threat would work just as well in my eyes.
I have a theory, and I'm tempering my expectations.
I don't think we're getting a huge amount of Thrawn in this series, and I also don't think we'll be getting a full ending. What I DO think we'll get, is a victory for the villains.
Well we know that they're building to a big thing in the future. The Mandalorian, Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka, and at least one other show (it's late. I can't remember the specifics. Is it Heroes of the Republic or something?), are all part of a long-term project they're doing. Eventually, they will all cross over.
What better threat to give them a genuine reason to cross over, than Thrawn?
So I think this is going to be The Empire Strikes Back of the project. Bad guys win, good team all come together. The next show serves as our "Jabbas Palace" where they have an important thing to do first, and then the crossover gives us an actual battle with Thrawn.
That's how it's feeling anyway. Far more like the second act of a trilogy than the second act of a single show.
@Emiya4578 What are you talking about? Book of Boba Fett already happened, so she's already friends with Luke and refers to herself as "a friend of the family". She clearly knows who Luke is.
As for Vader's fate, they've literally referenced him being dead in this series, nevermind the references in Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett that she was there for.
Ahsoka knows that Anakin died and that his son Luke is the Jedi attempting to rebuild the order. That's abundantly clear.
VPN doesn't help. The issue is that, to release it at a good time for USA audiences, they end up putting the episodes out during the middle of the night here in the UK. It releases Tuesday for you guys, but by that time it's already ticked over to Wednesday here. So we either have to stay up till the early hours to see it immediately, or fit it into our schedules during the day. So long as the official pages don't put the poster up literally four hours after the episode goes live in America, we should be safe from spoilers, but if you work or go to school, then you basically have to cut social media out of your entire day until you can sit down and watch the episode.
I'm just hoping the official Star Wars Facebook doesn't immediately post another spoiler poster before it's even morning over here 😑 waking up and finding out Anakin was in it before I'd even had a chance to get out of bed soured it slightly
@MsheenGunn87 that's fair. Sorry for the sarcasm. First comment just felt very entitled, like you were angry that the writers didn't write this a year ago with your current-day feelings in mind, but that comment does contextualise it pretty well.
I disagree that there's no weight to mystery in Star Wars anymore, but I respect your feelings on that.
(Also, Starkiller definitely doesn't work in Canon. They need to radically change him if they want to fit him into Canon now, and that'll upset the fans who enjoyed him. Personally, I'm fine never seeing him again. I never enjoyed him as a character.)
