It is still going strong since the 70's, and while some of the more recent movies have been terrible ( in popular opinion ) they are also brining out TV shows that are amazing ( in popular opinion )
I am trying to think of something that was amazingly popular in say the 60's and was still really popular 30 - 40 years later, and all I can think of is weed lol and obviously that does not count.
Plus, the MCU is really expanding now, pretty soon there will more more Marvel shows then there are Marvel comics, how long before the younglings of this world decided that watching 6 super heros take on a big purple guy is more entertaining than space wizards with flashy sticks?
It happned to ME too, I was crazy about star wars as I was a 90s kid, it was Star Wars and Jurassic Park, that is all we had pretty much, but by the time TPM came around I had lost a lot if interest in SW in general, have only go back into at thye dawn of The Mando tbh.
So, do you think Star Wars will eventually fade in obscurity and then just die? or do you think it will still be going strong in pop culture in the next 100 years?
