Just saw Corran Horn in the Canon tab and the only source was X-Wing, which imo is kinda shaky unless it's just there until new lore is revealed. I know they said everything since 2014 is "canon" but I think at least the miniatures can be excluded unless they explicitly add onto Canon, like the Starhawk and Onager. A Legends character just being mentioned doesn't feel like enough. I think the rpg supplements are kinda the same, but more reliable, idk why lol.

Update: I've recently been using the Battlefront wiki as a reference point and I found that there are blasters that have the fire rates I was looking for! I'm still going to take your advice to heart: it's my story to tell, and the blasters fire as fast or as slow as I need them to. Again, thanks!

@GenCracken My project takes place 100 years after the Sequels so I'm assuming that in that gap there'd be some advancement in weapons tech.

I'm trying to develop my own fan weapons and want to include rates of fire, but need some help. From what I've seen in movies, TV, and games, blaster rifles and pistols, with a few exceptions, generally fire slowly, even when fired automatically. On the other hand, heavy rifles and repeater rifles and cannons generally fire fast. I just have a few questions:
1. I get that rifles are supposed to be accurate but would it be unrealistic to have a standard-issue blaster rifle fire as fast as the TL-50, for example?
2. If so, how fast we talkin'? 500 blasts per minute? 600? 700?
Sorry if this is too technical or if it breaks any wiki rules.
