Star Wars: Episode IV — A New Hope
We’ve got some truly historic news today, folks.
It’s been one of the Internet’s worst kept secrets for a while now, but today, we have official confirmation from Lucasfilm: after months of very credible leaks and rumors, we now know with absolute certainty that original 1977 theatrical cut of Star Wars: A New Hope will be getting a limited theatrical rerelease as part of the studio’s 50th anniversary celebration for both the film itself, and the franchise as a whole.
We already know that some version of the film will be given a theatrical run in April, but, seemingly separate from that is the theatrical cut’s release on February 19, 2027. Read the full briefing on StarWars.com for more details.
It still stands to be seen if this will be a one time thing, or if the original cut will also be given a physical and/or streaming release at some point down the line. And then there’s also the question of if TESB, and ROTJ will also be given the same treatment. But, in any case this opens the floodgates. An official, public rerelease of the theatrical cut in any capacity has felt like a pipe dream for 20 some years now. This is some of the most consequential Star Wars news in a long, long time, and represents a major sea-change within the company.

Today would have been the sixty-ninth birthday of actress and author, Carrie Fisher.
She is known for portraying Princess Leia Organa one of The leaders of The Rebel Alliance
in 1977's Star Wars Episode IV- A New Hope, 1980's Star Wars Episode V- The Empire Strikes Back and then in 1983's Star Wars Episode VI- Return of The Jedi.
Thirty- two years later, she reprised her most famous role of now General Leia Organa, one of the leaders of The Resistance in 2015's Star Wars Episode VII- The Force Awakens, 2017's Star Wars Episode VIII- The Last Jedi and finally three years after her unexpected death, with unused footage and the permission of her family in 2019's Star Wars Episode- IX The Rise of Skywalker.
Her witt and wisdom is sorely missed.

Happy Birthday to actor Harrison Ford who played Han Solo in The Orginal Trilogy and The Sequel Trilogy.
🎂HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HARRISON!🎂
When I saw The Empire Strikes Back in recent times, I discovered something that I had never noticed as a kid, nor a teenager. I notice that the film has a couple of early signs that Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker is Luke's father.
Meaning the film hinted that Darth Vader is his father, as I mentioned throughout the first half of the original Star Wars trilogy.
These parts were early signs of the latter, even before we got a shocking twist scene with Luke and Darth Vader when Luke was defeated.
1.
In Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, after Luke and Owen had an argument over Obi-Wan's whereabouts, Beru states that Luke was not just a father, but rather had too much of his father in him.
This scene marks the early signs of Vader's father twist in The Empire Strikes Back began.
2.
At Obi-Wan's home, Luke asks if he had fought in the Clone Wars, to which he confirms indeed that he was once a Jedi Knight with his "father". He said that his "father" used to be a "pupil of mine" until he turned evil, before concluding that he betrayed and murdered his father, foreshadowing Luke's wrong answer to Vader. However, he did not tell him that Darth Vader was his father.
3.
At the conversation scene with Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine, Palpatine reveals that the new emeny, Luke Skywalker, who is the "son of Skywalker", and tells Vader that he must not become a Jedi.
4.
During Luke and Yoda's chat at his house, Yoda says, "For Jedi was he. Powerful Jedi." Luke responded, "How could you know my father? You don't even know who I am."
5.
After Luke Skywalker defeats the hallucination of Darth Vader in the Dark Side cave, a decapitation head of Vader bursts, revealing Luke Skywalker on the inside, and an obvious hint for Luke and Vader's relationship.
So overall, I believe I found two scene with hidden spots that Darth Vader is Luke's father. What do you think?
If any more to come, let me know the comments.

On the page for Cassian Andor, it says he was indirectly mentioned in A New Hope. Now this is most likely something I've overlooked each time I've rewatched this movie, so could someone provide the scene and quote? Thanks!
