Star Wars: Episode IV — A New Hope
Star Wars: Episode IV — A New Hope
As a movie, it is (in my opinion) the best of the franchise, the best of 1977, and the second-best of the 1970s behind The Godfather. As a benchmark, it is one of the most important films in film history, introducing tropes which would become ubiquitous, and opening the door to ask sorts of special effects; its impact is visible in almost every single corner of modern sci-fi movies.
I used to watch this on a rocking chair….I miss the rocking chair
Good.
I love this movie! I think it is wonderful and has aged beautifully and words cannot express how much I love it.
Has some flaws, but overall I'd say its a solid 8/10
The greatest science-fiction/ fantasy film of the twentieth century.
Groundbreaking in special effects.
Starmaking performances.
An amazing story that, one rainy day, made a six-year old girl fall in love with cinema.
Really good movie. As much as it seems cheesy by todays standards, it's a wonderful work of art that deserves the praise it has received over the decades
Never heard of it. Sounds like some obscure ripoff film that definitely won't make enough money to justify it's 11 million budget. I mean, could you imagine a film like this making an approximately 6945% profit? that'd have to be a crazy good film.
I heard that George Lucas time travelled from the past to make this docufim
Absolute Cinema.
The visuals were excellent for their time, it gave depth into the ever increasing interest on space travel, the aliens were great for being made on the fly/ what ever was available, the actors chosen where perfect, and the soundtrack is a pith of cinema soundtracks.
What do you think?
