No.
Yes.
It is about time that we get more new Jedi instead of killing off the last few survivors.
Not speaking for all fans, just for myself, but Sabine being Jedi trained from the getgo seemed out of place b/c she’d be an opee sea killer out of water in a Jedi academy. The thing is tho, she had always been that as a Mando. She wanted to be reaccepted by her family, then the Spectres broke apart, and Jedi training would come in handy for wielding the Darksaber. Also, as @Nobody90 said, new Jedi needed to be recruited, even if they weren’t Force-sensitive. Their numbers were too few to just rely on Force sensitive people
Sabine is a Mandalorian, not a jedi. To me it seems the decision to make her force sensitive was just a clickbait-style attention grab.
^ It was, it was quite plainly stated that there was no plan to make Sabine a Force Sensitive. It came out of nowhere.
@Giftbringer1 and @Wolfscar45 I know there is a lot of controversy about the decision to make Sabine Force-Sensitive, and I can understand your viewpoints on it entirely. However, the question here is whether it was justified to teach her? Sabine had limited Force-Sensitive potential and as Huyang stated, the Jedi did not allow individuals of such levels to be trained as Jedi.
While the storyline may have had issues, this question focuses on the ethics of Ahsoka’s decision. Should she have stayed to the Jedi rules and not train someone of low sensitivity? Was her decision to train Sabine unethical because it violated the ways of the Jedi? Or was it justified because regardless of level, Force-Sensitives still have a right to be trained as Jedi if they wish?
^ I mean aside from it basically ruining her character you mean? I recall stated that her potential wasn't that of a Younglings, but I don't think that means it was against the rules, unless I missed the line, quite honestly I didn't watch the show because I saw how boring it was going to be.
Regardless a Force Sensitive being trained isn't an issue and if the Disney Canon has it to where it violates a rule or whatever? Then they really don't know the Jedi, but then I guess that's par the course. So to answer the question, yeah it's fine that she trained Sabine, it's a bunch of malarkey to begin with but there you go.
The Jedi can train Force Sensitives if they're inclined, that doesn't make the Force Sensitive a Jedi, but they at least can have some grasp and understanding of their power, it's a whole different thing.
What do you think?
