I honestly wonder how the Phase 4 suit worked. It clearly enhanced the user's strength, but there aren't any joints or parts connecting the limbs.
I sometimes seriously wonder why my instinct is to always click the Legends version. Is it the fact that I have more familiarity with that version? Is that version better genuinely?
Idk, but why can’t Canon just adapt things from Legends without making so many unnecessary changes? The plot of the Mandalorian wouldn’t drastically change by making the DT closer to Legends.
@Ultimatevaltryek456 Well tbf to the writers, sometimes when adapting stuff writers just make changes, not necessarily to say their version is better or is needed for the story they're writing but just because they like an idea and want to use it even if that means changing what they're adapting to make it work, I often write my own versions of stories I like, not to out do the original creators, but simply to give my take on what I would do since often times I have my own takes on ideas in those stories I'd like to see someone use
@Lord Maaar It could have had some sort of mechanism in the body glove rather than the armor pieces. Kind of like Batman's cape from DC almost? I'm not sure.
@Lord Maaar In my experience, it's both, though usually leaning to because it's just better. Like the Canon Phase 3 Dark Troopers?....What even is that? All they did was just make a durable battle droid and hand it a blaster.
That's not unique, that's not interesting, that's something we've seen a thousand times already. Also I'm sorry but explain how having a human inside and using it as a suit, is considered a 'weakness'?
A droid can't think like a Human, it can't move like a Human, it won't have the tactful ingenuity a Human has nor bringing the collective experience into combat.
In fact quite honestly, the Canon Phase 3 Dark Trooper, the supposed successor to their Phase 2....is basically just a worse EU Phase 2 Dark Trooper.
The Phase 2 EU Dark Trooper is superior to the Canon Phase 3 in every single capacity from what I'm seeing. Oh and you can use the EU Phase 2 as both a droid and a suit of armor, take the EU Phase 3 Dark Trooper and it's even way more effective.
Also 'Phase 4 Dark Trooper' ??....Are you kidding me? Look at the Phase 4 Dark Trooper setup, now tell me...what exactly makes this any different from someone wearing a suit of Beskar with enhanced strength augmentation?
Having super strength enhancing armor isn't something revolutionary. There has been other armors which grant super strength. This isn't some new concept, also hold on, they say that having a human inside the suit is a weakness....yet they made this Phase 4?
Gideon....you're stupid, the 'pinnacle' of the Dark Trooper Project amounts to....a suit of durable armor with enhanced strength with integrated weapons and a jetpack. Which one could pretty much buy already in the galaxy with enough credits..
What do you think?
