I have always suspected that this conflict is more nuanced than the perspectives we have been given on it, but I can’t really justify supporting the Trandoshans without further evidence.

This conflict wasn't really talked about that much, which means I can't really vote.

Wookies have a right to live without being enslaved, hunted down and killed.

I mean, one side is defending their turf and each other’s lives while the other is hunting them for sport, skinning them, and wearing their hide as coats. There’s a clear “good guy” in this conflict solely because there’s a clear “bad guy.”

It's not wise to upset a Wookie.

@Darth Cumulonimbus It's really not, it's honestly pretty straight forward. It all basically started with Czerka Corp arriving to Kashyyyk around the Jedi Civil War, the Wookiees pushed them off and it started this whole Trandoshan-Wookiee conflict, because Trandosha was in talks with Czerka for slaving rights to Wookiees, so them getting pushed off the planet of course caused problems.

So it's pretty clear who the hostile party is, which is the Trandoshans. Even before that lore came about, Trandoshans were just....honestly really all about hunting and enslaving Wookiees, this goes as far back as the late 80s/early 90s material.

I mean the writers don’t really give any good reason to side with the Trandoshans, no offense but this isn’t much of question. There’s not that much nuance, and no reason given for the lizard’s actions other than being violent and cruel.
