I generally liked this episode for changing the context of the settings and creating a journey through a forest with a cute little tracker.
I get the sense the episode wanted to be more, but "settled" on the dialog at the expense of more detail in the scenery.
In a way, it was no surprise that Mae would be making a turn to abandon her mission and surrender to her light side inclinations. But why the heck did she not come out and surrender immediately once she was confronted by the Jedi???? She was already going to surrender to Kelnacca before discovering his body anyway, so now she wants to hide.... knowing her dark side master is nearby? Not very bright, this one.
The reveal of the dark sider who killed Kelnacca was delightful though. But they obviously teased a fight to come as a cliffhanger for next episode, and that was a worthwhile. It is obvious this dude is strong.
And if you ever had a fan theory that Qimir is secretly the dark sider, you got a lot of fuel for that theory now.
I'm sure there is a reason why they called this episode "Day" but it escapes me. Maybe one of those online analysts can identify it when they post their breakdowns.
