It is perhaps worth pointing out that liking Anakin, or trying to find the good in Anakin, despite all the horrifically evil things he has done, is showing greater bias than those who dislike him.

By most metrics irl, disliking child-killing mass murderers is the more common stance. Trying to find reasons to like them is the outlier in terms of opinion.

Even his Mum, had she been alive to see his actions would have struggled to see any good left in him. And she is arguably the most biased of all.

@Ctmeh He's a fictional character, and one that was created to be a villain nonetheless. Obviously he's done some terrible things and that's not why people like him. His story is interesting and he's well written for the most part, and I think you'll find that most people who like villain characters don't like them because they agree with what they've done.

Ah, Sorry, I misunderstood what you were saying. As a person Anakin is indeed terrible. He had his moments, but what Darth Vader did was far too evil to be justified.

Yep, he is routinely horrible from teenage onwards but he is a great character whom I like a lot.

I just don't want to go for a pint with him...

I mean if we look only at PT trilogy and then fast forward to OT then yes he is completely a horrible person but TCW tv show kinda changes that, makes him less “horrible” lol

Anakin haters need to at least admit to some extent that the TCW makes his character better otherwise i’m sorry to say but you are biased/hj

Oh and i’m not biased, i have criticisms of him and I don’t think he was a wonderful angel or whatever but he did good things before and i hate bias so i’m trying my hardest to not sound biased, and i do admit that his mass murder crimes were horrible

I think the designation of "Anakin haters" is just as biased as any supposed hate of the character. I don't hate him, I just think that he's a villain who did some terrible things and didn't really deserve the supposed redemption he got. And you definitely can't claim others are biased in their opinions but state that you are not.

I'm saying some people are biased, and I know not all Anakin haters are biased either, I said that some people do also have genuine criticism and not biased earlier. And i'm not saying you are biased either, i am talking about people in general and I do not think you are biased btw, don't worry.

Also when i mean "Anakin haters" i mean people who show a passionate dislike of him, that's what i call them and there are people like that. That is simply what I call people who openly dislike him and i know it's silly and stupid but eh...And i do have a name for Anakin defenders too, which is "Anakin stans"

And i'm a person who is an "Anakin stan". So yes i am biased towards him but I don't deny his bad deeds and i do have criticisms of him. I'm not defending his actions either and some people don't even do that. And it's not just Anakin but characters like Mace Windy is a better example of character bias. People ignore anything good he has done and his intentions and focus on how that affected Anakin which is also a problem.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I will try to be less biased towards Anakin for sure, I shouldn't have ignored myself and that actually was pretty selfish of me. I need improving too and me defending him in this thread is actually sorta biased now that i am looking back.

Anakin is cool and a really well developed character some people hate some love Personally I think he’s alright however I love Vader anyway peole are bias about all the characters Some more then most the characters appell to different people.
