It was pretty mediocre overall, but is still a star wars movie and is still better by far than the sequels.

It had some good parts, like the beginning, scenes in the gungan city, planet core, battle between obiwan, quigon, and maul, and the rest of the parts on naboo.

However, it had a lot of boring parts, like every scene on tatooine (except for the ones with watto and sebulba) and coruscant.

It was okay for the time.

Awesome in 99 and just as awesome 25 years later

Saw it in 1999 in the theater. One would be hard-pressed to find an OT fan that enjoyed it back then. That sentiment is lost to history for most.

So many years later I didn’t really care anymore. It’s SW after all and we were, you know, adults.

It was not until the prequel generation grew up and started having existential seizures over the sequels while gushing at this film did my eyes start involuntarily rolling at the irony.

It is a good movie

Not my favorite

The story was alright

I did like the pod racing sequence

Duel of the Fates was an epic moment

Darth Maul was neat villain even though he was killed off

But it’s still an enjoyable movie

I loved it when it first came out and I still love it today. For me, it was the first Star Wars movie that I actually remember seeing in theaters

I was 7 years old when it originally came out

It’s a good story. And it’s a good start to Anakin/Vader’s story. And I’m not ashamed to say that I think that Jar Jar Binks is the funniest sweetest character that’s my opinion do with it what you want

The battle with Maul at the end is the best part. My least favorite prequel film.

I love this film, it is so underrated
