Where did this line originate? I admit, I think this may be a waste of a discussion post, but I figured I'd ask as I don't see it being asked before...unless of course I'm mistaken? At any rate, for any well-versed in the Star Wars universe, be it behind the scenes or some in-universe reference books, how and when did this line come about? To clarify, I know the Fulcrum identity was based on Ahsoka, itself taken from Saw Gerrera, etc. The part I'm inquiring about is its first usage in the Star Wars: Rebels series.
The code phrase "By the light of Lothal's moons" is first heard in 3x10 "An Inside Man" through Agent Kallus, who was revealed to be the Fulcrum at that point. While it is an interesting revelation, the way it happened is odd because the phrase was never uttered at all within the three seasons of Rebels until that very moment. So in a way, unless it first appeared in some out-of-series book or somewhere behind the scenes (deleted scene?), the phrase feels like it came out of nowhere. Unless of course I'm missing something?
