Kyle Katarn, because I'd only be one step removed from Luke Skywalker.
^ Basically yeah, plus he's the NJO Battlemaster and has a TON of experience to boot. There's really no contest compared to the other 2.
But while we're on this for a moment, I might be misremembering or some such. But was it ever stated by Kyle that he was wrong with his view of The Force, that the Light and Dark were more a tool? I know this was a Potentium Force Theory, which I guess it being a theory kinda doesn't make it true.
But I seem to recall that Luke and Kyle had some discussion about it? I know that Jaden in the Crosscurrent novel seemed to reject such ideas, as when he used the Dark Side(when he was about to die), he quickly rejected it.
But I swear in one of the novels, Kyle admits that he's wrong with his view of the Force....or maybe that was Luke saying that you couldn't wield both sides and he agreed with it?
I dunno, I just find it odd that people keep going to that one singular line in Jedi Academy and yet we NEVER see Kyle use the Dark Side, outside of gameplay instances. Like we never see him use Force Lightning or any other Dark Side powers that he would know(since he did Canonical fall to the Dark Side in the Dark Forces: Secrets of the Sith expansion) in any novel or comic, where it would have been greatly beneficial, like against the Vong or against Caedus when he fought him.
Didn't mean to go long winded, but this sort of thing has kinda bugged me with regards to fans about Katarn. I like him as a character though.
@Wolfscar45 You inb4ed me but I definitely still hold it against Kyle Katarn for teaching Jaden Korr the whole "no Force power is inherently light or dark, it's how you use it" thing. I mean it was my first impression of Kyle because I never played his actual games. Even if he later admitted it's a mistake, the fact he even believed in it at all makes me go 🤨😒.
@Sol Pacificus But that's the thing, Jaden never really actually followed that line of thinking. The minute he used Force Lightning in the Crosscurrent novel(when he was about to die), he rejected it completely and in fact was actually debating if Kyle's philosophy was right.
I just can't recall if Kyle later actually went back on this line of thinking, because in his appearances outside of games...he's never using any Dark Force powers, as far as I'm aware anyway. So I was curious if there was some sort of clairification.
@Wolfscar45 Yeah, but I know no merits of Kyle Katarn as a character to neutralize the stain of his brush with Potentium theory. 😄 But that's only because I only ever knew him from Jedi Academy, where as far as I know, he is just Jaden's master.
Ahsoka because she is no Jedi
Kyle Katarn mentioned 🗣️🗣️ I’m back
I would have Ahsoka as my teacher
Ahsoka will show you how to be a true Jedi
Katarn due to his tendency to go by logic and not be tied down by light and dark. Hes practical in everything he does; that’s the type of Jedi Master I’d want.
What do you think?
