I fear I will always be torn about this. I don't think it can be helped that release order is representative of the organic progression of the lore, so it may be most natural to watch them that way, but if I am showing all the movies as one continuous saga to a new viewer, ending on Episode VI makes a lot more sense than Episode III since Episode VI has one of the best finales in film history in my opinion. And yet I also am skeptical of the merits of the machete order.
I mean I guess it really depends on how far and how deep they want to get into the franchise
If someone wants to watch with every show and movie I say watch the Prequels so they can watch in chronological order to get a full experience
Now if someone doesn’t want to go in deep with Star Wars and is just curious about it I say watch the Original Trilogy because it’s the best one and an instant classic
