When I first saw The Clone Wars movie I was actually surprised he got one

For some reason it never crossed my mind him having one because at the time I was used to Obi-Wan and Anakin

But after seeing The Clone Wars series I like him and Ahsoka together they made a great duo

@Wolfscar45 I totally agree. If she was Plo Koon’s padawan and was just simply a friend/sidekick, it would be completely believable.

Fhe Jedi said no plo koon because attachment was forbidden even father-daughter bonds.

I thought Episode III made it clear that he wasn't ready to be a master. So why the Jedi Council let him be the master of another Padawan, I'll never understand.

@TheTrex9000 The ranking system of the Jedi Order is actually that a Jedi Knight takes a Padawan and the conventional route of advancement to the rank of Jedi Master is to successfully train the Padawan into becoming a Knight. This used to confuse me a lot too because it wasn't made so clear back in the period when Episode I and II were released. But Qui-Gon Jinn as the master of Obi-Wan Kenobi was only ranked a Jedi Knight when he died, and likewise Obi-Wan was also only a Jedi Knight in Episode II for this reason.

Qui-Gon was a Master in The Phantom Menace because he had trained two Padawans before Obi-Wan. First Feemor, who he trained successfully, then Xanatos, who fell to the dark side. And there are occurrences of Knights being promoted to Master without training any Padawans, or while still training their first. Obi-Wan was promoted to Master and replaced Depa Billaba on the Council 6 months ABG, while Anakin didn't become a Knight until 30 months ABG.

@Brianspike42 Oh, I always thought all of Qui-Gon Jinn's apprentices before Obi-Wan Kenobi were failures in some way. A lot of sources on Episode I I encountered across the years were inconsistent about his rank, some calling him a Jedi Knight others a Jedi Master so it was always confusing. And I am aware that Knights can be promoted to Master without successfully training a Padawan; I was just referring to it as the conventional route although since my main example had always been Obi-Wan Kenobi not realizing he was promoted before Anakin, maybe my entire premise is wrong. 😄

Dooku also gained the rank of Master by training Qui-Gonn from Padawan up to Knight if I recall right...

We know Dooku was Yoda's Padawan but my guess is far from his first so Yoda was probably already a Master from previous Padawans before taking on Dooku.
