What I thought to make this was base the colour scheme on the Mandalorian Protectors but make the character a warrior (add rangefinder, cape, and gauntlet weapons). What do you think?

Nice job! You should add some weathering, it would add so much detail to your artwork.
Just select the part of the body you want to add decals to, then hit the settings button in the top right corner, (it should turn red). Then you scroll down to “add decals” and go to the very bottom of the list and you will see “weathering”.
