@JediTimeLady So a longtime fan, then? Respect.
Sadly, my first exposure is a bit difficult to remember, outside of what I wrote on my Wookieepedia userpage. As far as the Original Trilogy, my first exposure was the 2004 Special Editions, which is much different than the original versions in the 1977-1983 and a bit different than the recent editions we see now. For instance, Yoda was a puppet in Episode I: The Phantom Menace rather than a CGI character we see now (and appropriately so), and we had a more silent Anakin Vader rather than infamous "NOOO!" we now hear in Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.
I have watched the full-screen versions on HBO channels on TV. I have watched them almost every chance I can get on streaming aka Disney+. Unfortunately, I have not had the enjoyment via VHS, while I am hopeful for a Cinematic viewing - be it this year or sometime in the future.
