As cool as it may be for Bane to make his live action debut, I could honestly imagine it confusing the general audience. This’ll be their introduction to content outside of the Skywalker saga, so it’s probably best to keep the timeframe of the series and connections to the wider universe contained. Eventually, branch out into the deeper aspects of the lore when the audience grows more accustomed to exploring new eras.

I’m seeing a lot of posts on here about how the Acolyte could tie into various aspects of the pre-TPM timeline as it existed in Legends, but I really think it’s important that they not get over-zealous with the references, and the set-ups for other characters.

I’ll bet my bottom dollar that we see an Old Republic series in the future, that we see Darth Bane in some expanded capacity, but those things will come in due time. I really just want the Acolyte to be confident in itself and the story it wants to tell. It’s not that I mind tie-ins, but I don’t want the series to be pre-occupied with filling in the timeline, and giving Pablo Hidalgo more fodder for his next reference book. I want it to be compelling unto itself. And, frankly, I have faith it will be.

Maybe if possible for a flashback unless they are saving him for Dawn of the Jedi movie

Bane was 1k years before the Clone Wars. There should be an honest rated R movie about the destruction of the Brotherhood to the start of the Sith.
