Hi there! I have two questions that I always wondered about. My first question that I am most intrigued about is what was your idea of who, or what, the dark evil presence Palpatine believes is calling out to him from the Unknown Regions in Aftermath: Empire's End?
Quote: "The Emperor was convinced that something waited for him out there — some origin of the Force, some dark presence formed of malevolent substance. He said he could feel the waves of it radiating out now that the way was clear. The Emperor called it a signal — conveniently one that only he could hear. Even his greatest enforcer, Vader, seemed oblivious to it, and Vader also claimed mastery over the dark Force, did he not? Rax believed Palpatine had gone mad."
It is called "an origin of the Force." and, "a dark presence made of a malevolent substance." I wonder, did the Force actually originate from that place or presence? It is called the "Source of the Dark Side." Palpatine believes it is calling out to him, and is trying to find it. Is it an actual living, sentient, evil entity, or is it a place or nexus of the dark side? Will you follow up that plot point someday?
My second question is do you have any idea or your own interpretation of what happens to Mas Amedda after he joins the New Republic and Coruscant's Provisional Government? Amedda was one of my favorite childhood secondary characters. Did anything significant happen to him? Was he still around in the Sequel Trilogy? Did he die before the Mandalorian?
As a long time fan of the Aftermath books, I have always wondered about these questions. Also, sorry for the long question by the way.
