Just end the skywalker saga there!

There can be villains not apart of the empire, 100's of years down the road or 100's years prior.

This time period from Obi wan Kenobi to Rey is sucked dry and exhausted

However, there can still be an empire of sorts, but maybe less fans service as of tying it to darth vader some how

If they do, they would need a new antagonist in the upcoming Rey movie, besides the first order.

And I am okay with a new antagonist, really. Something Sithy, I think, but totally different.
