Hello fellow Wookieepedians! As we continue to celebrate Women's History Month for March, would love to bring an editor spotlight to the forefront. @Sanathestarr is an editor who's joined us in the last few months and maintains an active presence on the status article nominations pages as well as our Discord server, having also been recently elected Wookieepedian of the Month.
Had a chance to do a short interview just about what her experience on Wookieepedia's been like and what there is to look forward to!
Q1: How did you first find Wookieepedia?
A: I've been using Wookieepedia as a reader for years before becoming an editor, so I don't actually remember what my first interaction with it was. Probably tried to look up something about Star Wars and Wookieepedia was the first search result.
Q2: What’s your favorite part about the Wookieepedia community?
A: I love how friendly and positive the community is, it's by far the nicest place in the fandom in my opinion.
Q3: What specific aspects of Star Wars do you find most fascinating or enjoy editing about the most?
A: I find the Force and everything around it really interesting, especially the Jedi.
Q4: How do you see Wookieepedia evolving in the future, and what role do you think it plays in the broader Star Wars fan community?
A: I have no idea what Wookieepedia will look like in the future, but I'm sure that any changes that happen will be for the better. It has an extremely important role in the fandom, every Star Wars fan I know uses Wookieepedia and something like “according to Wookieepedia…” comes up in almost every conversation about Star Wars that I have.
Q5: What are your future editing plans?
A: I'm currently working on writing up status articles for all subjects from “A Closed Fist Has No Claws” and still have quite a few to do. Once I'm done with that, another user and I are planning to collab on bringing Marda Ro's page to featured status.
