"Averge build, pasty guy"

I liked Hux at first, but then he became a joke. Not to say Enric Pryde isn't a joke either, since he seems to have literally came out of nowhere, but at least he was threatening.

I prefer Hux, personally. He’s obviously a pretty unlikable guy, but that’s kind of the point. I think his characterization and counter play with Kylo is actually one of the ST’s strongest features.

Pryde to me is just another one of the many characters introduced in TROS that came out of absolutely nowhere and stole time from characters who audiences were already invested in.

I deeply love both of these characters. Each has a decent bit of backstory built up in side stories and comics, but in the movies they're largely underserved. Such a waste of skilled actors with wonderful performances!

Seeing Hux as a victim of childhood abuse striving for security and recognition and Pryde as an alcoholic pile of bantha droppings trying to advance so he doesn't have to fight or work hard really shines some light on their limited screentime.
