@SPG inc hahahahaha! Dark, yet effective.
But no. Per canon in the titular story within From a Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi, Obi-Wan, like the true Jedi he was, gave Maul a proper cremation according to Jedi customs before Order 66. Maul WAS NOT buried in canon or left to the desert creatures, but I cannot answer for Legends.
Keep in mind how Maul killed Obi-Wan's beloved master, at least two other Jedi, the noble secret ex-girlfriend who also died in his arms and who was possibly the mother of Obi-Wan's even more secret son, and was making moves on killing Luke, basically the reason for Obi-Wan's existence after the Great Purge. The guy was hemorrhaging honor.
