Rey because I still like the character. I just liked it better when she was a nobody.
Aaaand of course, with my lack of full-on Legends knowledge, I don't know Ken.
I've never heard of Ken so I'm going with Rey
This is genuinely embarrassing for Rey. I'm convinced at least some of the votes chose Ken ironically or out of spite. Then again, I wouldn't be surprised.
^I don't know if I'd go that far. There are a lot of people on this site who are fans of Legends.
I don't know much about Ken so I'll have to go with Rey
Same tho, i feel like she would have got much less hate if she just stayed a nobody
^^
It's nothing against Legends. More so against the Jedi Prince series from which Ken originates which I was under the impression that a fair amount of fans disliked. Heck, even the EU writers seemed to keep it as only semi-canon
Semi-canon or alternate timelines courtesy of the World Between Worlds?
Unlikely Disney will go that convoluted route, but who knows at this point.
He’s just ken….
@UxasFiregod12 It's less more on the series itself and more character wise, comparing the two for me. I voted Ken because Rey's character kept changing over the course of the movies and her reaction to things.
Like in TLJ we see she has this big revelation of her parents being no one and being left behind, then next scene we see her...she's all happy and going WOO with the Falcon's laser cannons, as if she didn't just have some huge life breaking revelation done to her mind. This is also never brought up again because of ROS, making everything that just happened completely pointless to her character.
Oh but then ROS comes around and whoops, turns out she is a somebody and she's related to Palpatine....which...doesn't do anything for her as a character, because she has no connection to Palpatine whatsoever, other than in order to explain her absurd power growth. ....Even though there are plenty of powerful Force Users in SW, that aren't related to a Skywalker or Palpatine. The only interaction she has with the guy, is fighting and killing him, that's it.
Ken at least when he learned that he was Palps' grandson, this at least weighed on his mind and how he didn't believe himself that he could do good, it took Luke and later Triclops(in a letter) to convince him that he wasn't evil and he could do good. He didn't just learn of it, then pretty much shrug it off as if it wasn't some huge deal.
Better because at least she makes a lot of sense and is not convenient to the story. Also, more of a bad ass than Ken like, what did that person do nothing
What do you think?
