^ and ^^ For me, memes fortunately rarely ruin a movie for me in terms of being incapable of taking a movie seriously. But that’s usually when I already know the movie when coming across the respective memes.
There is at least one case of a scene that somewhat failed to impress me on my first watch due to being exposed to the meme-version.
So, while I think it’s sad that a certain exposure to memes can diminish the impact of a scene, it’s somewhat understandable that this can happen (not that all scenes need memes in order to be ridiculed, though).
This never happened to me in regard to SW, though, lol. So, I can’t say I relate
