I haven’t watched the Ahsoka series yet, so I’d like to know if it is crucial watching Rebels first in order to understand the show.
Thanks guys

Different people will tell you different things, but I don’t think it’s necessary. Even if Ahsoka is, effectively, a sequel to Rebels, it also stands on its own. It may use the same characters, and build on the plot of the animated series, but it also jumps ahead in the timeline quite a bit. There’s a lot of story that happened in-between the two shows, so, even as someone who watched Rebels, I was still left guessing as to what the history was between the characters.
If you watch Rebels first, you’ll have a clearer idea of what’s happening, but, I think if you go in blind, you’ll still be able to intuitively figure things out. Remember, Star Wars is meant to be viewed out of order! When the Originals came out they referenced events that had never been depicted before.
My final advice is this: Rebels is an incredible show. If you watch it, do so because you want to watch Rebels, not because you want to watch Ahsoka. If watching the prior series is not something that interests you right now, or feels like a chore, then by all means, skip ahead to Ahsoka.
Yes, I believe you should watch Rebels in order to understand Ahsoka because it’s essentially like a Rebels sequel that revolves around Ahsoka as the main character.
I’d say yes. The story feels more powerful and meaningful if you’ve seen Rebels beforehand
Alright fellas! Thanks for the insight
Yes.
It stands alone but one of the funnest things for me when watching shows is seeing and knowing who or what the characters are referencing like who is Ezra and why is he so important to people. I just sit in my chair like
What do you think?
