Hello, fellow Wookieepedians! Welcome to the permanent request thread for The Showcase on Wookieepedia’s YouTube channel.

What is The Showcase?

The Showcase produces narrated versions of Wookieepedia’s status articles–either Featured, Good, or Comprehensive. These videos are presently put together by the Social Media Team and released on the site’s YouTube. A full list of past videos can be found here!

How can I help?

There are many ways to help! We encourage users to leave us their suggestions for future projects. Have a favorite Star Wars podcast? Perhaps reach out to them and see if they’d be willing to collaborate with Wookieepedia on something fun.

If you notice that a previously recorded audio article has since been updated with new content, let us know in the comments below. In such cases, we can either re-record the article or amend the video description to note that it’s not reflective of content added past a certain date.

Can a non-status article be recorded as part of The Showcase?

At the moment, we only make Showcase videos for status articles. The reason for this is that these articles have been peer-reviewed for accuracy and are not missing any substantial content. If you’d like to learn more about how to help an article go through the status article nomination process, you can check out our tutorial.

Where do I leave requests for an article to appear on The Showcase?
