Yes, but here’s the thing: the Dark Side corrupts. I don’t think turning to the Dark Side is really something you can just instantly decide to do because once you fall to the Dark Side, you become addicted as if it’s a drug.

^^I do think it is ultimately a choice. Like a drug, you can indulge in them or not depending on what you choose. However, the more you “taste”, the more you want.

I would say the Dark Side is even worse because a Force user cannot just “turn off” being a Force user so the temptation of indulging in uncontrolled passion, aggression or hateful acts is constant. But even then, it remains a choice I think.
