I just finished the trilogy and I personally found it to be absolutely amazing I think Bane is an incredible character and could do some ridiculous things with the force. But what are your guys' opinions on the books?

I enjoyed the books but I think the Rule of Two is a very bad idea.
One hyperspace accident for the Master and Apprentice and the Sith legacy is effectively over.
Darth Bane transforming the Sith from a violent, unstable horde to a secretive and brilliant conspiracy was an amazing story. I would love to see some sort of continuation of it though. At the end, Darth Cognus had some interesting setup for future stories, which I think could make for a phenomenal book in its own right.
@Ctmeh True but I do understand where he was going with it because it mostly endures the next in the line of sith is more powerful.
@Darth Cumulonimbus I know Cognus seemed to be quite gifted in the force and training under Zannah I feel like she could be incredibly strong.
^^ Yep, it makes sense for many reasons but I always thought it was a bit risky.
I agree it's a great trilogy.
Darth Bane is one of my favorite SW-villains and overall one of the most intriguing SW-characters I've come across. Karpyshyn did a really good job with his development, motivations, and goals. There are generally many interesting characters in this trilogy.
And the settings are well done, too. The Sith Academy on Korriban was very enjoyable to read about.
And I also really liked the different conflicts: The backstabbing among the Sith; the warring between Sith and Jedi/Old Republic; the non-Force users/non-powerful people on each side of the conflict; the difficult relationship between the Jedi and the Old Republic. As well as the characters inbetween those different factions.
As far as I can tell, the Bane-trilogy still fits into Canon. So, my hopes of perhaps seeing a live action-version of this trilogy are still up.
@Darth Cumulonimbus I agree on Cognus. I would've liked to learn more about her character in further novels, too. As you said, she definitely had potential
@Ctmeh if the sith weren't reformed they would have been wiped out over time anyway
I love going back to them.
What do you think?
