I think it's kind of obvious what I want because of my profile pic, but no matter what, I think if we do get one, it will be high republic. It's been Disney's little pet project, and has appeared in other parts for the canon. Plus, Disney even said that the two main areas they would focus on in the future, would be high republic, and post episode 9.

I would actually be surprised if we got any on-screen THR stories beyond The Acolyte (and I guess that Eclipse game if it ever gets finished). Which I’m fine with because TOR is my preference of the two.

I do think, after our current slate of releases is mostly cleared, an Old Republic multi-media project is a possibility, and, unlike THR, I foresee the initiative making use of more mediums, including games (if they can ever get anything off the ground in that department) and film and television. It’s something they’ve been talking about and hinting at for a while, with Kennedy herself explicitly stating Lucasfilm has interest in returning to the era.

But when and if we do return to TOR, I don’t necessarily want a canon remaster of the era as it existed in legends. I would really like to see some aesthetic changes to make things look a bit older than they did in the games and comics. As much as I dislike what I’ve read of THR, there’s no denying the strength of the art direction for those stories. They’ve etched out a totally unique and recognizable visual identity, and I’d like to see TOR to get similar treatment so that the era looks more distinctly ancient, and less like a reskin of the OT with some marginal differences.

I like how the Jedi operated in the Okd Republic they weren’t aggressive and bold.

Sidious would have a very tough time dealing with them in my opinion.
