@Wolfscar45 All the more reason for a Stormtrooper movie. Everyone looks at the troopers as faceless space Nazis, so a film could change that. Maybe even have the movie end like some of the other stormtrooper-featuring comics: the protagonist defects after losing almost everything. I could see a Bridge Too Far-esque film being really interesting. My real point here is that stormtroopers are seen as all 100% evil goons in Star Wars, so challenging that opens up a lot of story options. Plus, we can see what 'normal' life is like under the Empire. I would love to see at least one Star Wars world where the Empire isn't an oppressive occupier who nearly everyone hates. Plus, since the Rebel troops in the movie would be the antagonists...we can finally see stormtroopers hit stuff!

@FlankerE102 You're honestly better off then just looking into the old EU, because there are stories where they are the protagonists and hit stuff(even as opposition they hit stuff). A great one is in the Empire comic series Issue 13: What Sin Loyalty? Following a Stormtrooper who looks into the death of his commanding officer, showing his viewpoint and what the Rebels are doing to the Empire(in his mind).

Or Janek Sunber, an Imperial Officer(also Luke's friend), showing what he goes through and his ideals.

I mean it's possible we could get a movie like that, but don't hold your breath for one considering how everything goes now.

I'm going to disagree because the stormtroopers are not really all that but the clone troops now that's a movie that should be made

If Clone Troopers such as The Bad Batch can get a show then a Stormtrooper movie won’t be a stretch

@Twi'lekDude66, you misunderstand me. I'm not against having something like Tales of the Jedi or Visions. Not a full length show or movie.

You'll only have two options: either you create a show about eventual disillusionment, which I personally think works best by implication, or you show an otherwise nice person slowly become heartless and evil.

For the first, I'd like to talk about why we use darkness so much. When you can't see, your mind becomes your only source of "vision". You end up getting much more scared, since nothing in reality can match up to the images in one's mind. All villainy is fear in the end - just scaring different parts of you. When you don't depict the horrors Stormtroopers go through, you let the audience make up their own explanations, which are bound to be better, at least for the audience, than you can make up. A large part of the anger against the PT when it came out was because it clashed with what the audience assumed before.

The second option is redundant, because the audience already knows the Stormtroopers are evil - they can fill the gaps in for themselves, eventually creating something for themselves
